One of the most powerful success stories is Darrion Mitchel, the first athlete to pilot the program. Starting as a junior varsity defensive lineman, Darrion received impactful mentorship and assessment from Marvel Smith. As a power lifter, Darrion relied heavily on brute strength, but Marvel helped him refine his hand placement, leverage, and movement techniques to outmaneuver offensive linemen more effectively. The results spoke for themselves. Darrion went on to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors during both his junior and senior seasons, was selected First Team All-District, and earned a scholarship to Sterling College, where he quickly received standout recognition as a freshman athlete. Today, he still applies the techniques and strategic insights gained through MVP-IQ as he continues pursuing his football career.

At this prestigious Jesuit college-prep school, Marvel collaborated directly with the coaching staff, integrating MVP-IQ insights into game prep and player development. The result? Loyola powered their way to the CIF-SS Division III semifinals in Fall 2024.

Coaches at Panorama City High credited Marvel Smith and MVP-IQ with transforming one standout player — and then spreading that insight across the team. By applying refined techniques and targeted feedback, multiple linemen elevated their play, increasing confidence and on-field dominance. Panorama High School WON the 2024 CIF LA City Section Division III Championship. This was their first City Section football title in school history. They went 4–0 in the playoffs.

As a nose guard at Midland High School in Texas, Darrion joined the MVP-IQ pilot during his junior and senior years. The program helped him shift from raw power to refined technique — mastering hand placement, footwork, and speed off the line. The results? He earned Defensive Lineman of the Year, made the All-Star Team, and secured a college football scholarship to Sterling College in Kansas.
